CHIEF MESSAGE
Welcome to our web site. Our fire department is striving to provide you with useful information on our web site. Here you will find information about all aspects of the Troy Fire Department from Emergency Medical Services and Billing information to recent news about the department.
We are proud of the fine services we have to offer the community and we will strive to offer our community the highest quality of customer care always.
Troy Fire Protection District covers all of Troy Township except the parts that have been annexed by other municipalities. We also cover the entire Village of Shorewood. We provide emergency services with two ALS paramedic ambulances, two ALS paramedic Fire Engines and one ALS aerial (ladder truck). This gives us the option of responding a non-transport vehicle in the event that our two ambulances are being utilized. We then would bring in an ambulance from another community. We belong to MABAS (mutual aid box alarm system) Division 15 which will provide us extra equipment from nearby communities if our resources are exhausted.
We currently offer service from two fire stations with a total of twelve full time firefighters and two part time firefighters on duty at all times. Fire Station one is a brand new state of the art facility that houses an ALS engine, ALS ambulance, A Hazaardous Material Unit and a Shift Commander. Fire Station two houses our 100 foot aerial, ALS engine and ALS ambulance,Tender (3000 gallon tanker) and a Grass FireTruck
As fire chief I would like to extend to you an open invitation to visit your local Troy fire station and learn more about the services we have to offer but if you do not have the time to visit I am sure you will find plenty of information here on the website.
The Firefighters and Officers of the Troy Fire Department also want to thank you for visiting our web site. Please stay safe and healthy.
-Chief Paul Hertzmann
